De La Soul @ The Button Factory, Dublin

Say I’ll go! I couldn’t miss this gig,it’s De La Soul!

The ever cool and crowd mover trio delivered a full house in The Button Factory (event organized by Choice Cuts .ie).

I haven’t seen such avid fans for a long time, everyone was super happy and jumping at the classic beats and rhymes that have put De La Soul in the respected place their deserve to be in.

I will have yet to remenber such a fun stage presence and even mixing with the crowd. Not your everyday artist!

Here are my photos for future memory..

Gar-Frequency @ The Village – Dublin

Gareth (aka G-Frequency) was clearly on a mission: -get some massive & funky beats thru the fantastic sound system in The Village.

The night still had other guests waiting to play (Ollie Teeba from The Herbalizer) but G-Frequency pretty much set the bar, tune after tune.

It was great to shoot in this venue and this time I had fellow photog Arthuzzi with me. He was a gent, helping out when I needed to change lens, flash, etc. He also took some great photos with his trust-worthy 5D MkII Canon. I had a quick try with it, but soon realized that Nikon (D3!) is where I feel at home with :)

Anyways, here are the shots.. hope you like them :)

The Vaccines @ The Academy, Dublin

Photo set from The Vaccines gig at The Academy Dublin.

The gig was great, the band has a good debut album and their stage presence is well worked out too. First time shooting in The Academy.. got introduced to the “no flash” and “3 song & you’re out” rules.
