Niamh and James wedding in Trinity College Dublin
Niamh and James are an Irish couple living abroad, but decided to come to Ireland to get married, close to their friends and families.
The ceremony was in the amazing chapel of Trinity College Dublin which is fantastic – you can breathe history in it.
The reception was at the Finnstown Country House which delighted everyone with their warm hospitality and cooking excellence.
The band got everyone out and dancing, plus there was a Riverdance like show of Irish dancing… where the bride was invited to participate, as she knows this Irish tradition so well. What a show!

The Jezabels
Booked out gig in The Button Factory: The Jezabels came all the way for down under to a European tour.
Their new album is really good, I have listened to it a good few times
(tip: check their website for the audio section)
Here are some photos of the gig, on assignment for State.ie (article)
New heights with the Nikon D800
The new Nikon D800 is a superb HD-SLR.
Released in 22nd March 2012 I was lucky enough to get one of the first productions units and have been taking it thru its first paces.
A more in-depth review is due, but for now here is one capture from this weekends gig in the O2 Dublin.
For now I can shortly summarize it as the most powerfull HD-SLR available, which is challenging to shoot with, given its 36 Megapixel sensor resolution.
Photos come out really good straight-out-of-cammera (SOOC!) and the video capabilities are un-matched in this segment.
Labrinth was the supporting act for Drake, in a ‘quasi’ sold out O2. The performance was good and the crowd was having a good time.
Here is one my favorite photo from the gig, taken with the Nikon 14-24mm @ f/2.8 1/160 ISO400, Auto-WB (shot in .JPG configured to optimal quality, sRGB):

And here is a 100% crop (400px wide).

Nikon 24-70mm @ f/2.8 1/100 ISO800, Shot in Jpg, Quality priority, Large size / Fine.
